12V The Beauty of Learning

Interdisciplinary perspective is when you view something from to different views. For example, if I am studying lets say alcoholism and I look at it from two different views by looking at the affects it has on us mentally and the affects it has on us psychically. Viewing a topic from two different views can be a great way to have a class discussion. This can be applied to the way you may work once you graduate from college or while you are in college. If you look at things from two different perspectives then it can give you more ideas about the topic and different ways to approach the topic. This is a great skill to have in life and important in our academics.

A couple new words I learned this week in microbiology are antitoxin, which are antibodies against a specific toxin, and toxemia, which is the presence of toxin in blood. Learning about the way pathogenic bacteria enters and exists our bodies and the ways it can affect us is what has been surfaced this week!
