At any college or university there is always
stress. No matter what may cause the stress is either the amount of schoolwork,
managing your time, working, too much on your plate, or any other problem.
Stress leads to anxiety because you just have so much to do. I went to the
Health Center and picked up a plan-fit on anxiety. Anxiety can cause you to
fear or make you panic because you are just so overwhelmed. It can lead to you
being anti-social and if you commute to not be able to drive.
These effects are crazy to think that it can affect us so much. Many
students may either have phobias, obsessions, or generalized anxiety.
Generalized anxiety is more common because this when you are stressed all day
everyday about everything and worry about everything. This can lead to panic
attacks. In order for students to treat this is to go to counseling and with
medicine. This will help the student be able to relax and chill for a period of
time. It will help control their anxiety and minimize it little by little. It
crazy to think that this can affect students, but there are cures and resources
to reach out to for help. So never be afraid to reach out to anyone for help
because you are the not the only one that is going through that.
