When I hear critical thinking I think of thinking
by picking out every part of any argument or topic. The actual definition of
critical thinking is analyzing, applying, synthesizing, and evaluating any concept
or argument. By doing this thinking you become more informative with the
concept you are talking about or learning about and you become a better thinker
in making life decisions in the future as well.
Two new words that I have learned in my microbiology
class this week are tinctures and ionizing. Tinctures are solutions in an
aqueous alcohol. An example of this is Iodine. Ionizing is when it causes water
to release OH and damage the DNA. Examples of this are x-rays and electron
beams.
Every day we learn something new and we never know what it is going to
be so it's a nice surprise!
